About Šparadići

Not far away from Grebaštica, on the oposite side of bay, towards Primošten, under Adriatic coastal road, a place called Šparadići is situated. Šparadići's trump is the crystal-clear, fish-abundant sea.

Old pine forest on one side, and cristal blue sea on the other side have always been attracting tourists to Šparadići.

Nature and sport-tourism fans will enjoy the well arranged cycle paths as well as the hiking paths, which lead to the highest points of the hills Sv. Joan and Orlica.

Šparadići have beautiful natural rocky beaches, but the biggest treasure of all is a crystal clear blue sea. The place has a diving school, and other sports activities can be found in nearby Grebaštica or Primošten. The bay and port southeast from the hill Oštrica offers an anchorage for big yachts and the smaller ones can anchor in the smaller bays along the north coast.

There are many restaurants which offer Dalmatian specialties, and the local inhabitants offer their vegetables and fish at the local market. History and Culture

Šparadići - Grebaštica was founded in roman times, and the remains of some buildings, as well as the stone cover of a roman sarcophagus, which was found at the local cemetery next to the St. Peter and Mary Church, witness thereof. The most impressive monument of this region is the well preserved defence wall, which was built in 1497, in order to protect the inhabitants from the Turks. Don`t forget to visit Grebaštica in first weekend when starts traditional fest called "Grebaška noć" with lots of programs, live music and when local place offer traditional food and all that with support of well known KUD "Bedem".
